Patrick Sims has not always been fit. Obesity and illness in his teenage years drove him to lose nearly 100lbs. and keep it off for a decade. In his time since losing weight, Patrick has charted a diverse career in health and fitness. He will complete his Masters of Science in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Louisville in December, 2014. He also holds a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Kentucky with a minor in Spanish. He has held over a dozen professional certifications including being an ACSM certified personal trainer, AFAA and ACE group fitness certifications, TRX® and more, and was formerly a Master Trainer for FiTour®.His professional background includes his current work as the Owner of MET+ Metabolic Testing and Consultation (www.met-plus.com), a presenting faculty member & 200hr. RYT Yoga Instructor at Yoga Integrated Science® and a fitness coach at Orange Theory Fitness. He is formerly the Coordinator for Fitness and Wellness of the Dept. of Campus Recreation at the University of Arizona, as well as working as a professional fitness coach for the world-renowned health resort, Canyon Ranch. He was the president of the University of Kentucky Cycling Team and privately coaches endurance athletes. Patrick is also a decorated endurance athlete; he is an IRONMAN® All World Athlete and an ultramarathon runner. He joined the Spinning® Master Instructor Team in 2014.
